Professional Project - 2023
Brussels-based MIKE&BECKY's "Inclusions Collection" combines their single-origin Bean-to-Bar chocolate with ethically sourced ingredients, resulting in unique chocolate bars. This pre-existing range received a revamp in 2023 when I reimagined the packaging.
Instead of calling it a complete "redesign," this project can better be described as an evolution of the house style. The "jungle-esque" aesthetic of the pattern was inspired by the previously featured animal drawings and elements of the talented artist, Floma. She created a range of designs for the brand a few years back, and whilst this collection may have changed, many of her original pieces still feature in different areas of the packaging and brand.
The brief I received for this project was to visualize a funky, versatile pattern based on the theme of the brand. To make the designs stand out on a shelf, I was asked to create a suitable vibrant color palette for each bar. Overall, I hand-drew patterns, compiled color palettes, and created the final Recto and Verso printing files. This collection is ever-growing, and several new bars will be added in the coming months.
